Dr. Malabika Sarma Barman a medical professional,has a deep and longstanding connection with her community, actively working to promote Indian arts and culture through her involvement in various socio cultural organisations across Queensland . As Vice President, she brings a fresh cultural perspective, championing meaningful engagement and fostering stronger links between the organisation and the wider community.
Pushpinder Singh Oberoi He is a long standing Community leader and Humanitarian, who has devoted decades of advancing multicultural harmony, cultural empowerment and humanitarian outreach in Gold Coast and Brisbane. His Community service includes large scale multicultural events, promoting mental health awareness,organising disaster relief and advocating for disability inclusion. Namita has a strong background in banking, with extensive experience in corporate leadership roles, management, service and compliance. She is passionate about supporting diverse communities and promoting inclusion through collaboration and service. As Secretary, Namita is committed to fostering communication within the committee, ensuring effective coordination of activities, and contributing her professional expertise to advance GOPIO Gold Coast’s community initiatives.
I am Kanwal Sethi with years of active involvement in Indian community organisations across Queensland.
Rita Rao brings a strong corporate finance background to her role as Treasurer, ensuring the organisation’s resources are managed responsibly and strategically. She oversees budgets, grant funding, financial reporting, and compliance, maintaining clear governance and accountability. Rita’s commitment to ethical practice and sound financial planning helps strengthen the organisation’s impact and long-term sustainability.
An Executive Committee member of GOPIO Gold Coast since 2021 till current with continued involvement in various community services as a volunteer. Based on the Gold Coast since 2003, after have lived several years in Melbourne. With over 20 years of banking industry experience and also serves as a Commissioner for Declarations in Queensland.
He is dynamic force for community engagement .
Sunny works as a real estate agent and builder broker, backed by strong experience in banking and finance. He is actively involved in various community and social groups, where he supports and assists Indian international students across Queensland. As the Cultural Coordinator of GOPIO, he brings leadership, cultural expertise, and a deep commitment to fostering community connection, empowerment, and multicultural engagement.
